Default need some advice

Friend of mine has a 09 Roadglide and it keeps popping the fuse that feeds gauges. Any help on where to begin our search would be greatly appreciated

That is pretty vague. Has he been inside the fairing? When did it start and what may he have done just prior to this starting?

Off hand I'd check the fuse and go from there

It keeps blowing the fuse. It just started doing this the other day. He replaced the fuse and it was fine but now it started blowing fuse every time you replace it.

That just means the intermittent fault just turned into a hard fault, which is a good thing for diagnoses sake. I'd isolate the wires on that circuit and start "wiggle testing" them one by one. Visually inspect each wire, especially at any contact or transition points.

Like stated pop the fairing look inside, follow the wires.
Does it do it (blow the fuse)at the same time every time (like when you turn the bars or blinker or...)?
Shorts can be easy or hard, gotta get your hands dirty to find anything.

I have found some in a matter of minutes while others took ...... a long time.
Did he buy the bike new or used?
Is the stereo stock or has someone been under the fairing dinking around?
My old 09 (bought used) had a hog tunz setup (done by the dealer) the stereo work/wiring was a joke.

I'd ask about ANY work done recently, either by him or anyone else. If anyone's had a wrench on it in any way, shape or form, that's where I'd start looking. Otherwise, as mentioned previously, wiggle testing the circuit will get you there.

Asking for any work done recently is a good place to start. Next thing I'd do is open up the fairing and check for continuity and shorts with a volt-ohm meter.
