I've ran my 05 Heritage Classic through a TORNADO and hail with an open filter. It's been parked in heavy rain and ridden in heavy rain. No problems at all. I love the way it looks.

Default RE: Running open filter in heavy rain.

I have run an open filter on two Harleys and ridden in torential downpours as recently as three weeks ago on the Blue Ridge Parkway on the way to Tenn.

Absolutely NO problem. All water taken in does is get turned to steam and sent out the exhaust as such. Side benefit may be decarbonizing your heads and Piston tops. Many run water through on purpose, occassionally for this reason.
