Why not get a jacket "tailored" to fit?

Vanson Leathers Hard Core jacket with quilted lining is my jacket. The collar can be turned up, a leather strap ("throad latch") is buttoned across the neck to keep out wind then turn down the collar so that it doesn't interfere with helmet. For really cold (30 degrees) weather, wear a wool sweater and neckerchief. This keeps out cold wind. A vanson Leather jacket is heirloom quality. My size 42 weighs almost 10 lbs.

I looked at Fox Creek before I bought mine and was very underwhelmed with their selection, I didn't like any of the styles they had.

Turns out I found my HD destination on FleaBay for about $200 less than Fox Creeks & I couldn't be happier. Only have 5 years of all season use but it's just like the day I bought it.

Just my experience

Do search in the gear for sale on this site. I got a mint Vanson for $250 here.

Vanson and fox creek are nice, but if youve got 1000$ -1500 burning a hole in your pocket give langlitz a call. Ive owned vanson, bates, fox creek, and had my hands on schott. Langlitz even has a satisfaction gaurantee. The best piece of leather youll ever buy.

Another Langlitz fan here! I live in the UK, and they made me a jacket that fits like a glove. Absolutely top quality and workmanship.

Everything they make is custom sized, so you need to download the "how to measure" form from their website and make sure you follow the instructions. Then it'll take about 2 months to get your jacket.

They don't have zip out liners in their jackets and instead they recommend you to layer clothing. I use a heated jacket liner underneath and was out riding in low 30s temps last week, feeling perfectly warm!
