Default Tire levers

Good morning all, where can I find some tire levers to change a tire by hand, I thought AutoZone would have them but they don't carry them, not something I plan on doing on a regular basis but in a emergency it would be nice to have if I'm stuck miles from nowhere, cant use a plug kit as I've got spokes. Thanks
Chris

Get some tire spoons made for a bike. I picked mine up a swapmeet for about 5 bucks each. Most cycle parts catalogs have them.

So you are gonna change a tube on the side of the road? Sure, it can be done. First, I guess you could lay the bike on the side to get the wheel off. Then, breaking the bead will likey prove to be a challenge. Sometimes, it's even challenging with a large C-clamp. You had better pack one with you, though. Then, how to you plan on pumping up the tire to reseat the bead? I'm not so certain one of the cig lighter pumps would do it. Good luck.

many on-line dealers and if you have Cycle Gear close by. This brings to mind, how are you going to carry a bike jack to take a wheel off while you are traveling?

Please don't count on getting yourself out of a jam beside the road in this way. You won't bring it off. This is a significant job at home in your well equipped garage.

1. Your bike has no center stand, which makes getting the wheel off without some kind of a jack just about impossible.

2. The beads on stock Harley tiresarevery stiff. On1980s Universal Japanese BikesIcould get the tire off andon withregularmotorcycle tire levers. I can't do it with a Harley Dunlop. Ended up getting really good sized tire levers at the local farm and home store, but they're too big to carry on my cycle.
