Default Waiting on a tow

So, I'm bored, waiting on a tow, figured I'd post for something to do.

10 minutes out from the dealer once the truck gets here. Under warranty, no worries.

Was riding on the freeway and the bike handled like I was riding a rut. Was windy, maybe. Did it again. And again at random a few minutes apart. Hmm. Decide to get off and take a different road, maybe it was just a bad patch.

Does it again...

Gets worse. Real quick.

I pull over, maybe my belt is loose and grabbing funny. Start wondering about my bearings, bike is a 2017. Can't find a problem.

Putz a block, unstable at 30, rear tire kicks loose like I'm drifting it. Riding like I'm on ice, busy road to the dealer, just a couple of hills to go. Hit third, hear a bad sound. Sounds like someone flicked my license plate really hard.

Pull over in a parking lot. Unstable at 3mph, here I must remain. Call the dealer, wait an hour to get towed. Make friends with the business I'm at. Post online to kill the time.

Glad I never did anything to even be possible with the warranty voiding. Glad they give 2 years and not 1. Glad I didn't loose it on the freeway, glad God is looking out for me

I'll post an update when I have something, not seeing anything.

Glad you made it off into a parking lot safely. Waiting on a tow is better than waiting on an ambulance. Curious to hear what happened.

Could be a motor mount or stabilizer. Keep us posted. Good to hear you made it to a stop safely.

Maybe but it clunked when rolling it in hard again. Maybe a broken tooth? Find out tomorrow.

I didn't see any belt damage, but if the belt was not turning like it should from some other problem maybe it pulled the wheel.

Thing was it was at random, not a constant and too well timed with a gentle gear shift.

Better today than mid summer I suppose. I'll be curious to find out what did it.

But for now I'm walking a mile home apparently scaring middle school kids lol.

Does sound like a rear wheel bearing, or really low tire pressure, but you'd see it if it was going flat. Haven't had a bike tire do it, but have had a few tires delaminate on cars, and they can handle weird when that happens. Only happened on radials, though. Don't let the dealer tell you they all do that.
