Not what I was expecting but the exact reason I started the poll.

Thought I would post up a quick pic of the bike that swayed me. My brothers 2018 Roadie. Damn I love this thing. Jeez, I hope it never oil transfers...... Lol. But that may be another Poll thread!

 

Shiny. There's nothing like lights reflecting off of a shiny bike.

 

After seeing my brother's bike up close and personal, no wonder the poll has shifted in favor of gloss black.

 

How well does the gloss stand up on the engine over time

 

I've never heard of a talking poll. What would it say? Your vote sucks?

 

I've done the shiny thing before. Never again. Don't get me wrong, I love seeing flashy bikes with glossy paint and lots of chrome, just as long as they're someone else's. Personally much prefer the more stripped down, anti-bling, minimalist aesthetic... especially from a maintenance standpoint. Had most everything that was once either chrome or glossy black taken off and custom powder coated stain black. No more dust, fingerprints, smudges, swirls, glare, watermarks, etc. Entire bike now takes all of 10 minutes to completely clean, and it stays looking that way for what seems like forever.
