Battery warranty

Battery warranty
I purchased my 16 Street Glide in April of 2016. It has 156 miles on it. I very seldom ride it so I keep Stabil in the tank and my charger hooked up to the battery. I charge it twice a week with a 2 amp trickle charge. Now the battery doesn't have enough amps to start the bike without a boost. Is the battery covered under the factory 2 year warranty?

Don't tell the dealership you used a trickle charger on the battery or they will probably deny your claim. What you did qualifies as battery abuse.
And, battery warranties are usually pro-rated based on the length of time the battery has been in service, so you'll still have to pay some of the battery's cost.

You can loose the battery in a car or a cordless drill the same way.
Sorry but batteries need to be cared for.
Dig around in your owners manual for instructions about battery care and repeat those words to the dealer as you present the problem to them.

Found this thread when searching for info on the battery warranty. I 'm coming up on 2 years (bought in september of '17) and my battery is having trouble starting the bike. When I hit the button, everything goes out for a few seconds then it cranks slowly and starts. Thinking of taking it in since its still under warranty, would they do a full replacement or pro rated?
Also, I've kept this bike on a battery tender pretty religously but wondering if I shouldn't? My '06 FLHRSi was never on a tender and the first battery lasted 5 years or so. I'm thinking I might start putting this bike on a tender once a week until it goes green, or maybe once a month.
