Thanks for the info but when I look this up on the electronic parts catalogue here in the UK it states that this number is the Service Manual for Electrical. Does this still include all of the mechanical side of things as I have been led to believe that there are two service manuals:- Mechanical & Electrical.

Here is what they have on the HD website for the '05 Softails:

99494-05
Service Manual Supplement
2005 FLSTFSE Models
MSRP US $40.00

99498-05
Electrical Diagnostic Manual
2005 Softail® Models
MSRP US $58.00

I made the mistake when I ordered the manual and gave the number for the Electrical Diagnostic Manual. Funny that they don't list an actual Service Manual for the '05. I'm curious if either the '04 or '06 is what fits the bill. In any case I have sent an order request to my supplier so I will see what number he responds with for Service Manual itself.

Hi Brian

Thanks for the info I will order it today and as a matter of interest the price of $40 that you pay goes up to nearly $72 over here thats why its known as Rip Off UK !!

The electrical and the repair manual are two different manuals. The electrical manual has some good info in it also.

Hey TC....

How's life?

When I ordered the manuals for our bikes I thought I had ordered the Service Manual for both. It was just yesterday that I realized I had ordered the Service Manual for my RK and the Electrical Manual for the wife's Softail. I have sent an inquiry to my supplier in getting the Electrical for my RK and the Service Manual for the Softail. Figure that way I'll have both manual's for both bikes.

Do you happen to know the correct numbers for those two manuals? I don't see either one listed on the HD site for the '05 models.

Thanks,
Brian
