I rank going to Mexico right up there with bungee jumping these days. I just don't need to do things that dangerous to get my thrills.

Dear Curated Editor Alberto Cintron:

Have you ever ridden a motorcycle to Mexico?

I was down by the border a couple weeks ago. Literally got off at the last U.S. off-ramp before the border. I wanted to cross over and head down to Rosarito for some lunch and drinks but no way. It’s not how it used to be down there and I wasn’t about to go by myself. A couple years ago I would have and all would have been fun. Not worth it.

Judging by the posts that OP comes up with, best guess is doesn't ride at all. And of all I have noticed, this one is by far the worst. Oh wait, how about a nice little jaunt into Juarez? Now there's a good idea!!!

Maybe it was and everyone in the room just claimed not to have heard it

I would not take my bike there.
He's lucky they didn't rape his wife.

Shithole is a compliment when referring to Mexico. Stopped there on a cruise once about 15 years ago and half a day was too long.

As a good friend likes to say "I have not lost anything down there"!

We have a local guy that sells the tacky yard art metal stuff made just over the border. Yeah we own some!!! He makes a trip down there once a month in his truck for a load.

He does NOT have a passport! He crosses the border without issue and immediately pays the cartel $500.00 cash US and they have a guy ride with him to the factory and ride back to the border where he easily crosses back over. He has done this for two years now. I asked him what would happen if he did not pay the cartel. His response was "You would never see me again". He always buys at least 500pcs and it works out to $1.00 per piece on the price.

I don't need to go to Mexico. I live in California. Mexico has come to me.
