I have a Power Voodoo jacket and a Cortech Coastal Air jacket. I prefer the Power Voodoo for warmer weather.

I have the HD mesh and the HD Heritage jacket. I have ridden all summer with the HD mesh jacket. I have not ridden with the Heritage jacket in the heat.
Waterford MI, have not heard that in years. Grew up in Oxford then moved to Texas in 1988

I like my armored denim jacket from Cortech for summer riding. Lots of vents and the denim breathes better than leater also.

I have four mesh jackets but the ultimate is the Vanson Vent Max 3 http://www.vansonleathers.com/produc...ackets/vx3.htm
It is more like a shirt (very light) but has Vanson armor in the elbows, shoulders and back.
The mesh is very open , like chicken cage wire and lets in a lot air. It has NO frills, not even pockets but it sure is effective in warm climates like here in Florida.
Harley shops sell them with a Buell patch for about $130

As a general rule, in the summer (75+) I don't wear a jacket. That is NOT so say that I WON'T however.
In the last major downpour I found myself in, I broke out my leather jacket, and had it on under my rainsuit.

I bought a perfortated HD Ambler Leather Jacket, which I thought would work well when the temps were in the 60s. The first time I rode with it on, I froze my azz off.Darn, jacket looks cool, but it turns out all those holes really work and ensure, that when moving,you feel like you are riding without one.
I always rode in a short sleeved T-shirt in the heat and put on a long sleeved cotton shirt if the sun was too strong. I never really considered wearing a jacket just for protection. Now that I have one, I will have to consider it. But first, I have to break the T-shirt habit - and that's going to be hard to do.

When I wear a jacket in the summer, it's the PowerTrip Voodoo. Great blend of leather and mesh with some protection in elbows and back. Very comfortable and not at all when you're moving.
