Default Breakout ride to the Vulture Mine

Was visiting the in-laws for the Holidays, and the wifey was great to cut me loose for the whole day to ride.

Arizona is a nice state to ride in this time of year. I highly recommend. I went from Scottsdale to the old Vulture Mine near Wickenburg. Kinda wish I had a dirt bike at times cuz I ran out of paved road.

i'd like to do some riding in az. preferably not in the heat of summer, or on dirt roads, but would be nice to explore a bit.

Yup. I'm an outlaw. ; )

I definitely avoid Arizona in the summer, riding or not.

Rental Breakout? Did a little ride (around 1400 miles) from SoCal into AZ in September. It was a good ride, Wickenburg, Phoenix, Yarnell, Jerome, Cottonwood, Prescott Valley, Sedona, Flagstaff, Grand Canyon. Been all through there many times before, never on one of my motorcycles.

Experienced riding through the Mojave Desert, during July, a couple of years ago. Felt like someone was blasting me with a giant hair dryer. Kept soaking my clothes and helmet interior with water that would dry out within minutes. This time of the year looks much more preferable.

Yup. Rented the Breakout. It was fun to ride something a little different, though I prefer my Slim.

Sounds like a great ride you took there. I'd like to try New Mexico in Fall/Winter as well.

I'd love to move to Arizona but I don't want to start over for a 3rd time. BTW...does your head whistle with that hole in it?
