I think this guy hit the nail on the head. You shouldn’t be on the board unless you ride. It would be nice if they had a few people like TwiZted Biker or even the cantankerous and late Twistnride on the board.

Maybe.. but Fool.com is an investor in Polaris, who gives a **** what they have to say about anything HD.

"The Motley Fool owns shares of and recommends Polaris Industries."

After reading that article ,It seems to me like they’re a bunch of friends from a local golf course. Not a bunch of friends from the motorcycle watering hole.

That doesn't change who is on Harley's Board. Sounds like a
Democrat fund raiser. Allis Chalmers was a huge West Allis (Milwaukee suburb) company that was very successful when it picked their executives from within, including factory workers, that they sent to college. Then they brought in outside executives, diversified into industries they knew nothing about, now they are kaput.

I get involved in these threads intending to hopefully win an argument. If we're not going to allow "cherry picking" of data, no matter how old; non-representative; off-point; wrong; or completely made up, that don't seem fair. Data submitted by the Monkey Junction/Wilmington, NC chapter of '12 Road King Classic Motorcycle riders, for general unspecified periods has clearly demonstrated in 94.5% of cases identified that Harley ridership has risen dramatically since I moved from WA to NC, increasing in numbers from 4 days a year to a mean average of 297 days. I believe I have made my point.

One of the board members is a former Starbucks exec. Who would know more about today's Harley riders?

That’s the guy that’s in charge of all the blacked out editions. And the 6 shades of Harley’s black .
