The Ducati sales are also not accurate. Yeah a wopping 1.2%, not 10%

http://www.ducati.com/news/ducati_en.../4413/index.do

Ducati Motor Holding enjoyed further growth in 2016, delivering 55,451 motorcycles to customers all over the world: that's an increase of 1.2% compared to 2015 (54,809 bikes).

Seriously people its not hard to look this crap up

Harley is probably doing the most out of all the brands to get new people into motorcycling.
Motorcycle riding is in the rise. And no, not the whole market is declining. Here is a source for you.

The 10% is US market only.

both articles are old data. 2014 data on the first, 2015 sales data on the second, and they are talking about the current state of things referencing this old data.

the cost of a new harley is way to much for what you get. and the quality is not there. most dealers suck and everything there is overpriced. why pay more when you can go aftermarket and get a better product ? harley lets the same problems go on from year to year without ever fixing them.

My wife was tired of black bags and black seats. Let's go try out a 2015 bagger. She didn't like the harsh ride of the baggers and could get any color she wanted on another Heritage as long as the seat and bags were black. Other manufacturers offered different options.

Too expensive and as of late, poor quality control.

Harley should have made a enter level 350cc bike like the new 2017 Honda Rebel 20 years ago. But they relied on all the metic company’s to do this for them .

And if they want to save themselves, I would suggest that sometimes in the next 2 to 3 years they lower the price of ALL PARTS for the twin cams by 30 to 40% to keep these bikes on the roads . Until they fix the enter level bike problems !

Those figures from 2014 and 2015 are indicators, and they hold truth to this date that HD sales are declining, while Ducati and Indian are on the rise, as the registration for riding motorcycle is on the rise as well.

Do you have any more recent data that proves otherwise?

While everyone else is giving the reason why, you re denying even if it's true.

Look, this is not about anyone's pride. This is about numbers. Why else did you think they killed the Dyna line? Because they were selling them hands over fist?
