And now ive got a honda going across the top of my page saying 1.99%. Even when people are monthly payment shopping that adds a couple hundred a month to your payment.

Don't know about others, but I'm returning to HD. Had HD's many moons ago; went to British bikes, Japanese bikes, and German bikes. But, now after riding all the above, and renting and riding the newer HD's for a couple of months, I'm returning to HD for a multitude of reasons. I love touring, and for me, there's nothing like the HD bagger.

Not Harleys. Why is that the case? The answer may be obvious, but interested to know your point of views.
Since I didn't get an answer I googled it and motorcycle registrations and sales were/are not up but down 2016 and 2017.

For most of the people that I've talked to, it is the price but some have found a way around that and are buying used.

Can't play on your cell phone while riding a bike. That is what millennials are into...

This is the way I recall things. I hardly ever/never see a sport bike on the twisty roads where I ride these days.

A subsidized interest rate is one way of discounting price to move excess inventory, without appearing to cut the value of your product. It must work, since so many d it.

I think this is intended to get buyers that have made a decision to move sooner rather than later. I can't imagine a buyer looking at Harley deciding to buy Honda (or vice versa) because of a teaser rate.

Default Sell Harley stock-Buy Vespa?

A better question on the subject might be:
"Where are all the young people with good paying jobs?
Where are all the young people that are gung-ho on everything nostalgic from the 60s including looking like Sonny Barger?
Where are all the young Vietnam Vets with a desire to promote being "all-American" and hanging out with their buddies while wearing patch jackets that proclaim they are from the 60s?
Where are all the young blue collar do-it-yourself mechanics that can frame a house or work on a transmission, (hint: Mexicans don't count)?
Where are all the young folks that think "showing off" is a new Harley instead of a new cell phone?
Answer: Things change, it's a new day.
And NOTHING Harley can do here in the United States will change the buying pattern of the millennials I see riding Vespas and wearing flip flops.
Harley is so OVER.
Maybe Harley should buy Vespa.
Don't get me wrong.
I love MY Harley and riding it is one of life's great pleasures.
But I was here in the 60s when Harleys were unfashionable and I rode them anyway.
Then all you folks with tons of bread came along and "discovered" Harley.
And the gold rush began and the marketing went into overdrive.
Which means I have seen this all before and really don't give a dam what happens.
Being popular and fashionable gives me the creeps.
Let's ride.
