Default oberon clutch levers

I went from a 2012 street glide to a 2017 street glide special. First thing i noticed was the distance the clutch grabbed. This was way different than my 2012. Getting use to it but would like the handle to be closer. I was reading up on these Oberon clutch levers & was wondering if anyone has any hands on using these.

If you want the engagement point on your clutch to be closer to the grip, these levers will do it. Your bike may not crank in gear with the Oberon, mine won't, even set all the way out. It may be my that my clutch switch has gone bad, but I haven't put the original lever back on to try it. Cranking in neutral isn't a big deal to me, but everyone may not feel the same.

Put one on my Roadglide a few weeks ago, works great. No issues with starting in gear, but I usually start in neutral anyway.

someone else commented this same thing the other day on my thread on the lever. turns out, they didn't realize that there were more adjustments than they thought they had. by the adjustment ****, there is a small window. when you have yours adjusted all the way out, what number do you read? should be '6'. i have mine set on '4' and have no problems with it starting in neutral. if i go lower than this, starting in neutral is not my problem, it is binding in the trans on downshift.

There's a thread going on about these over in the M8 section. I picked one up but didn't care for the look as it was quite different than the brake lever ( and shorter ). I've changed the way I grip the stock lever using the end pads of my fingers instead of just grabbing a handful of lever like I normally did, and that seems to have done the trick for me. It was an adjustment, but After nearly 7K miles it now feels pretty normal to me

I put one of these on my 2017 Slim due to a hand injury.
Bottom line is they work great but are made for folks with smaller than average hands.

You might have a half bad clutch switch it should start at #2 or above settings. I experienced that problem on my 17 M8CVO change back to stock lever and it didn't fix the starting in gear issue with clutch pulled in even though cruise control worked just fine it turned out to defective clutch switch.
