and here I remember by first bike, a Suzuki 380GT.. .three cylinder kick start only where the path of the kick starter peg crossed the location of the rear passenger pegs that had a nasty habit of falling into position if I had to kick it a few times, usually because I got lazy with keeping the points set. I learned to not like kick starters

I only had to do it once, it took a couple of tries, but it turned right over....i don't remember the foot peg being an issue....it has been a long time, but I remember doing my best to get that bike running great....i had an old chilton's manual for it...i remember replacing a lot of wiring, new plugs, i never got into rebuilding the carbs but the bike ran great....i also have a vague memory of a timing belt, a window, and a little strobe light....it ran great until i crashed it at an easy rider rodeo in Ohio

My first big kicker was Yamaha XT500 with compression release. It could ruin your day kicking it. Next was a shovel and I put a bicycle pedal on the kick starter, had a pack of matches a flashlight points condenser and plugs for just i case scenario. I remember multiple attempts at roll starting in 3rd gear on damp pavement after trying 2nd
