Up here in the frozen north, we call both bikers and sledders, (snowmobilers), that do that, throttle jockey's and throttle blippers.

We figure they're lonely and need attention. "Look at me! Look at me! Oh please, look at me!!"

 

That's some of the dumbest **** that ever got to be "a thing". Apparently the tribe of individuals that genuinely enjoy the sound and feel of a good running, powerful engine is much smaller that most people might assume. I could give two rips what anyone, anywhere thinks or feels. I'm having intimate relations with my machine(s)... so mind yer own damn bidness.

 

Nothing like revving the crap out of a cold motor, so good for it.

Just like the guy leaving the bar with the loudest most obnoxious exhaust, running to red line in every gear. Next time I see them I ask if they would like to race. They almost always say no. My bike is reasonably quiet
