Makes me appreciate spring. Probably why I make it to Daytona just about every year for the past 40 years, shake off the winter blues. I've lived in NW Illinois, Mass and Cleveland so I understand the winter blues. Nice thing about living in NW Va in the blue ridge mountains is we can just about go riding every month. Even today I plan to get out for an hour, there are 2 inches of snow on grassy areas but its clear and mid 30's and the asphalt surfaces are dry. I don't worry about the salt and crap like that, it will wash off when I get a day in the 40's.

I can't say I hate winter, but I certainly don't like it, especially the cold and the snow & ice. Not that it stops me from riding, but it does limit my distance and sometimes even the roads I ride on.
When the snow storm ended yesterday we had a total of 5 inches of the white stuff. I shoveled off the deck and the front steps plus a path to the driveway. I was going to take out the snow blower but I noticed the driveway had been warm enough to drop the level of snow to 2 inches. I'm sure with the overnight low of 22 degrees it's solid (100 foot gravel driveway)
Last winter I only had to use the snowblower once!

Take it easy. For the record I am 50 now, but I have had the same hobbies since I was 20 ( Harley’s and muscle cars) I am also a mason by trade less work in the winter, get it? Just making conversation, nobody’s gonna pull a shining! My kids and dogs love the snow, not all that bad.again just making conversation.
We finally got some cold weather here with some snow. Hopefully it stays for a while, there’s a week of muzzleloader hunting yet, then rabbit and grouse hunting till March, plus I have the itch to get on the ice and do some fishing. Can’t forget about 4 wheeling in the RZR!
