I used to embrace winter by looking forward to snow skiing. Now the wife does not like to ski because of knee injuries and I've lost interest. So what helps me is looking forward and planning our next ride / trip.
Right now I have two friends that want to do a Florida trip between Christmas and New Years. We used to do this every year and have missed the last two so I am excited.
It's all about weather. We are hoping for a good exit window and a good return window. It's always a NO plan, NO reservation, NO schedule and NO spare underwear ride!
Thank God I do not live farther north than I do. It is 28 degrees here this morning with 3 inches of snow on the ground. I saw it coming and rode the bike to the dealership on Wednesday (51 degrees) and left it with them for the 1000 miles service.

Take it easy. For the record I am 50 now, but I have had the same hobbies since I was 20 ( Harley’s and muscle cars) I am also a mason by trade less work in the winter, get it? Just making conversation, nobody’s gonna pull a shining! My kids and dogs love the snow, not all that bad.again just making conversation.

I like Winter.
It allows me to ride out in the desert, where the temps are in the high 60's/low 70's.
Riding in the desert * mountains is awesome as it's different than the same old, hum drum beaches area.
Then, when it's Spring, I'll ride in the local mountains.
In summer, I'll ride the local canyons, loaded with twistys.
During autumn, I'll ride the canyons, the mountains & the desert, depending on weather forecast.
Those of you that have to "put your bikes up for months" just have no idea...
