New Sportster Being Released ?

The Polaris Indian Scout has 100 hp. They're doing a lot with the Scout platform. It's not asking for too much to have a 100 hp Sportster. I might be delusional, but the competition is reality. LoL

I would like to see an adventure bike. Not twitchy like the Buell Ulysses but more like a Triumph Tiger 1200 with a v-twin engine. This 'style' of bike is fast becoming a new 'standard' and I am actually considering shopping for one. It would be great if Harley-Davidson made one. I considered buying a used Sporty and making one in the garage but that effort would be over the top...I would get all the parts, take the bike apart, and then take 12 years to consider putting it all back together

hd could do that now. The race stage 4 is resting at 98hp with se tune hugging tune. If they bumped to 1275 or 1300 they'd be over 100. Baker drive. Train is working on a 6 speed for sportys too.

I'd rather see a Sportster/Adv bike that competes with the Tiger 800. IMO, 1200cc Adv bikes are pigs off road.

Baltimore: ... Maryland gets proportionately better the greater the distance from the city center. Same can be said for the entire Baltimore-Washington corridor. Baltimorons have to be right up there with the worse drivers in the country. Have to endure them every day on west side 695.
To be fair... I don't think Baltimore is necessarily unique. I've lived in - or around - a handful of cities across the country. There's a lot of same-same across the board. But the Baltimore-Washington corridor... I don't know... seems to have a little extra something special about it...
Outside of the city... Maryland's a great state... Beautiful countryside and nice riding.

In order to accomplish what you stated, many thousands of dollars are spent after you purchase the uncompetitive stock Sportster. For the same money the competition is bettering the Sportster today.
I've owned, Ironheads, rigid mount Evos and rubber mounts. Been riding Sportsters for over 20 years. The Sportster has been surpassed. And I don't even like the damn Polaris Indian Scout.

That's not stock. The competition is doing all of that straight out of the factory.
