I'm lost too.

I have carried a Buck 110 for more than 25 years and usually have it on my belt when on the bike. Cant really name anything specific to riding where it has come in handy but a knife is just an all around tool that I like to have with me.

You may have noticed that men have changed of late.
Some was necessary and good, a lot isn't.

I rarely use my pocket knife while riding. I usually limit my multi-tasking to programming a GPS, building a music playlist, texting and phone calls.

Some of our more talented riders can open packaging and drink martinis without spilling while riding all while countersteering properly.

If I may make a suggestion, because its worked for me...

I mounted a short but effective offset pole to my front fender with a bayonet lug on the end. Before riding I always mount my pocket knife (i had to fabricate a small notch to mate with the lug) before I go riding. Should I be challenged to a jousting match while riding, I am already prepared.

Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6, as I always say.

That sounds like it would make the pocket knife into a dedicated fender mounted weapon. How do you clean your nails while riding, or open packages?
