Shoei full face. Best helmet for the money. Important feature is it is strong AND light. Good for the neck in a bad situation. Kid is worth the $$$ imo. Sucks cause they grow out of it so fast.
I`d go full face for the both of you, you get to protect him and he sees you wearing one and wont question why you don't wear one. I`d start on ebay or craigslist for a used one since he is still growing, cheaper that way and youre not dropping big coin every year for a new helmet
My daughter only rides with a full face. I went up to a 3/4, but she never asked me to wear a ff. She wants to rides in shorts and a tee shirt. She refused rides before because I made her change and put on a leather jacket in the summer. She is now 15
Sounds like my daughter!! When either of my kids ride they wear their DOT full face motocross helmets. They are 11 and almost 8.
Great timing on this post OP. Santa is looking for two new full face helmets for my kiddos too. We’ll leave the motocross helmets for the dirt...
