Ran my Panhead out on a WA State Ferry,I had just started it to drive off the boat when it quit.

They let bikes go off 1st so it was kind of embarrassing to have to push it off in front of 100 or so cages.

That was 15 years ago,I pay more attention these days..

 

When I first started riding many years ago,I ran out of gas a couple of times.Finally got a speedo that worked and started keeping track of milage,never ran out again.

 

when I had the first service done on my Street Glide, the dealer gave me a Fatboy to ride while mine was being worked on. Service guy checked the bike over and said there was plenty if gas in it. Little did he know that the guage didn't work, had to call them to bring me some gas before O got home. Really embarassed the dealer and delayed me, I never let them forget it either.

 

Ran out one time on the highway, heading to work...Called roadside assistance, come to find out my coverage for that had expired a month prior...While I was finding that out a big guy on a EG stopped to see what was up. I'm a big guy myself and ended up riding female dog to the gas station for a can and a gallon...It waseitherthat or walking a long way, and I was already late for work and the clock was ticking on how late...so female dog I was. Hey, I gotta funny story to tell out of it, LOL

 

I was Jumping the St. Law River,,,, was 1/2 way across when I ran out,,,,
1 thing I forgot to check that day,,, luckly a Bannana Barge with the Hawian Tropic girls was goin by,,, made for a nice landing, and a hell of a welcome party
