I have Paughco fishtail slip ons on my 02 Heritage Springer, I've probably put about 15,000 miles on them in 2 plus years but they have gone a little blue. That might also be the fuel mix. Chrome has held up well.

 

I think they sound great....they idle great and are loud as hell when I get on it. I have DK Thunder Torque bolts about 6 inches inside the tips, which mellowed em out a bit

Yup...old school, had a set on my Shovelhead.
Them and Cycle Shack...love 'em. Got that older more authentic sound. Much better than the same couple V&H that everyone else and their mother has these days.

 

Thanks everyone. Man, exactly what I was hoping ( not expecting) to hear. I am gonna go with them for my 95' softail. I like the 1 3/4"...closer to original stock look. I was contemplating V&H, which I've had on other bikes. But I agree with what someone said....the fact that so many bikes have them. I'm more in to less popular, whenever possible.

 

I used them back when they was located in North Hollywood, California.

Used Paughco drag pipes and their 610 mufflers onmy Bronson Tribute. They sounded so great, my friends liked them so much he did the same to his sportster. Had paughco on my shovel as well. Put on and forget about them until you rev. Sounds good, no rust issues. Just good solid old school exhaust.

 

I used the Paughco upswept fishtails on this carb'd Night Train. I never could get the mix right, there was always a big flat spot. I swapped the fishpipes out for some ShortShots and almost immediately the tune was right. FWIW.

Was as started with Paugh having a steel fab shop with presses and benders for aircraft parts. And Bob Warren owned and operated a chrome shop in North Hollywood they hooked up and first product was a reman set of HDs tin primary's which after perfecting them had permission to produce and sell them. After that moved on to other handle bars,exhaust pipes,tanks also where making some of the first production coffin tanks and others and also frames and related parts and there biggest account then in southern CA. Was one of the most well known M.C. Clubs in that area. I was privileged to work with Bob Warren here in Reno for 15 years and learned a lot about the history of the custom car bikes and of the Hurricane boats he also built then. Ride safe.
