Default Another Kudos to my dealer.

After reading the "Dented Tank" story, I was getting nervous about dropping my bike off for the 1000 mile check yesterday. The service guy came out to the parking lot, and did a complete and full inspection of the bike prior to taking it in. He annotated that it was dusty (it was) and that there was some rubber (melted) on the pipes. Otherwise it was in excellent condition. There were a few things that needed to be addressed (leaking from what I think is the oil sending unit on the right side of the engine), and he wrote it all down. I have a copy of the work order. He said this (without me asking) protects both the dealership damage claims, and helps me if there is damage done while they have it. I don't know if all dealerships do this, but it made me feel better knowing that the dealership was taking this step to ensure that I got the bike back "better" than I left it.

They should always do this WITH YOU present. Noting any damage what so ever. Chaft on the tank, scratches, dents.... whatever
