I don't know about the newer seats but I love my 07 police seat. I originally had the intention of swapping it out when I bought the bike but after a day or 2 of riding I just bought a mustang passenger seat for the wife. We are both very happy and comfortable. We have been on several long distance trips. I can ride much farther than I could with my 2004 electra glide classic.

I sat on a FLHP seat with an air bladder "spring" for many years. It is the most comfortable motorcycle seat ever made. It was clearly made for function over looks.
I am using a Mustang Wide Solo Touring on my Dyna, it's not as good.

The police seat set will you higher and more forward than any other Harley seat will, so be ready for that. You MAY need to change your bike's windshield and bars to get everything right. I have a police seat for my Road King that I might install some day.

The seat is really comfortable... But, when I got my FLHTP, I put a low profile seat on it so I would lower the center of gravity, and get a little better contact with the ground. After a few months I put the solo seat back on. The seat was really comfortable, but it set me up about 2 - 3 inches. That really jacked with the rest of the ergonomics...bars, shield, center of gravity, etc... I had also been using a backrest with the other seat, so I ordered a backrest for the solo seat. I could never get it adjusted correctly for me, so it all sits in a box in the shed, and Im back to my low profile seat.
