I'm hearing alot of talk that as of July 1 you will nolonger have to wear a helmet in Maryland, but I can't find any confirmation on it. Anyone hear anything about this?

That would be huge news for us, and I haven't heard a word about it, so I am thinking it is not true.
besides, here in the Republik of Maryland, our lawmakers are more likely to impose MORE restrictions (and TAXES) any way they can for our own damn good even if it kills us.

Senate Bill 226, introduced Jan. 29, 2007. It looks like it died and was not brought up again.

No, the MD government would be more likely to make you wear two helmets rather than none!

Yeah that is what we thought here in PA No way were we ever going to see the law repealed, but sure enough it was finally repealed. So don't give up hope and come up over the PA/MD line when you want to go lidless.

In PA we're able to ride without a helmet, but atleast in MD they can clear the road of an accident without emergency responders having a half hour BS session before doing anything. I think they wait to re-route traffic until the guy they send to Wawa gets back with a suggested re-route.
