Default handlebar slippage

I recently put a modest set of 12 in apes on 2 in risers on my 05 Niigh Train. I Love em. Well, after carefully installing and torquing down bolts with blue locktite, they still move somewhat when a go into a dip or they are jarred somehow. i don't want this to become a safety issue. the risers have caps that cover clamp bolts. should I run a set screw or something down each riser to reinforce?
Thanks in advance for all advice,
Ron

Do the bars have "teeth" where the riser clamp is?

If too much movement, some people drill a hole threw the bars and clamp and press a pin threw.

Score the riser lamp and the bars where they go into the clamp itself. I had to do this with mine.

Maybe the steering head bearings. Steering stem. Neck bearing.. I don't know, just something that I think I remember from a long time ago in a place far away.

Did you use the correct torque spec? Or did you just "torque them down"? I've adjusted several of them, and the only time that they ever shifted was he time that I didn't use a torque wrench, and just used "German Torque" (Guden tight".

I had a set of bars that would move if I hit railroad tracks or pot holes hard enough. I noticed that each time a little of the chrome finish was peeled off from the underside of the clamp. I did the same as you and sanded it with some 80 grit to give the underside of the clamp a good, rough, texture for the knurling to bite. Never had an issue after that.
