Default New Bell Custom 500

Bell has a new color scheme on their Custom 500 carbon fiber line. I think it looks great. It would probably go pretty well with my Daytona Blue Pearl 2014 Limited. Now, if I could just get the wife to cough up $400.

I love the Bell Custom 500. I've bought 3 over the years. When the color or design is out of date, they can be had brand new in the $100 range. Just sayin'.

I love the Bell 500's but no way in heck would I pay that much. I usually wait until they are on close out. Have bought several (not carbon) for under $100.00.

My wife said I couldn't have it. I've got the RSD Check-it design now and it won't be my last. I'm thinking about getting a plain 500, either white or black and send it to my cousin to paint for me. The attached picture is an example of his work. That's my father riding the Ner-a-car.

Here's the Ner-a-car. 1924, made in Syracuse, NY. This bike was bought by my great uncle new in Vicksburg, MS. My father and I restored it about 10 yrs ago.

Yeah. It's no secret I'm a big Bell helmet fan.
But Bell can utterly KISS MY *** before I would ever pay that much for a run of the mill open face production helmet. Not now, not ever. Maybe they think there is some fictitious bunch of helmet groupies that will always buy the newest helmets....
Hopefully Bell comes to their senses and realizes these people DO NOT EXIST#

I have a Bell Custom 500 solid white purchased for $50.00 Black Friday special. It was on close out because the new models had just come out. Great helmet very light weight !

I really like the Bell 500, but it doesn't fit my head perfectly for some reason. I have one, but it's 100 miles tops before I have to take it off. I'm partial to the Biltwell Bonanza. $99 and some decent paint although not as cool as Bell, but for me much more comfortable all day.
