I really like the Bell 500, but it doesn't fit my head perfectly for some reason. I have one, but it's 100 miles tops before I have to take it off. I'm partial to the Biltwell Bonanza. $99 and some decent paint although not as cool as Bell, but for me much more comfortable all day.
I haven't tried a Biltwell to see how it fits. My Bell fits me like a glove. It's the most comfortable helmet I've ever had. Everybody's head is a little different so one helmet might fit me great and cause pain to somebody else. Maybe there needs to be a little more uniformity at the head factory. LOL

I doubt it. But what do I know. I would be VERY surprised if any of these helmets ever sell at retail. I truly believe the first one of these helmets that actually winds up on a consumer's head will be either months or years from now when Leatherup, JP Cycles, or Jafrum puts them on clearance for 50-70% off. It's not the style, it's the price the consumers won't buy.
It seams strange to me that people will spend more money on their boots than their helmet. My wife threw a hissy fit when I told her that I wanted a Bell Mag 4 helmet that cost 300.00 back in 2001. I made her feel guilty when I told her that "it is a shame that I'm not worth 300.00 to her." She finally agreed and I got my Mag 4, and it did its job quite well in 07 when I went head first into a ford Bronco at 65 MPH
