Any difference between a regular battery tender and the JR as far as leaving them plugged in?

Not really, I have both models, and use them both, one for the bike and one for my boat's cranking battery which I have to pull out and store indoors off season, since the place my boat is stored has no power available.
The Jr. has a .75 amp max, and I think the regular is 1.5 amps max.

I have been doing this for years. Never had a battery problem on one of my bikes.

When my riding season comes to a halt, I put my bike in the garage, hook up my battery tender jr to the battery and leave it that way until riding season starts again. It's on my bike for roughly 4-5 months at a time and haven't had any issues yet.

No difference. I use one of each for my two bikes. They are left plugged in 24/7 over winter; don't even bother taking the batteries out of the bikes.

As stated the output of the Jr. is less, 750mA vs. 1.5A for the Battery Tender Plus.

Reaper's hooked up to a Battery Tender Jr. whenever she's parked at home. Keeps the battery topped up, and makes a big difference when going to start her on cold mornings.

Cheers!

But, make sure it really is a "Battery Tender", and not a charger or trickle charger.

I keep mine on all the time, even when I'm riding.

Yeah...me too. Mine is solar powered. I mounted the panel to the top of my helmet.
