Not really, I have both models, and use them both, one for the bike and one for my boat's cranking battery which I have to pull out and store indoors off season, since the place my boat is stored has no power available.
The Jr. has a .75 amp max, and I think the regular is 1.5 amps max.
How many of you Leave your battery tender hocked up all winter, and do any of you see a problem with this. some say put it on once a month, others say put it on and leave it on.

When my riding season comes to a halt, I put my bike in the garage, hook up my battery tender jr to the battery and leave it that way until riding season starts again. It's on my bike for roughly 4-5 months at a time and haven't had any issues yet.
Reaper's hooked up to a Battery Tender Jr. whenever she's parked at home. Keeps the battery topped up, and makes a big difference when going to start her on cold mornings.
Well, I don't "store" my bike, since the winter here isn't usually that bad. But I do put in on and keep it on a tender when I'm not riding it. If fact, as soon as I park it after a ride, I hook it up and leave it that way until the next ride.
But, make sure it really is a "Battery Tender", and not a charger or trickle charger.
