I bit once on a 2011 and I waited and watched the "comprehensive service" through an upstairs lounge window at Pig Trail HD. NEVER again. All they did was change oil in all 3 holes and wash the bike. It sat on the lift table for about 3 hours. For 1.5 hours no one touched it.

Pretty damn expensive oil change and wash.
I agree, last week at my 1k service, probably 23 of the 26 point check they did was a quick walk around the bike with a clipboard. "Brakes look good...check, tires look good...check, everything looks tight...check, haha, bike had I think 1009 miles. Checked in a 9am, the bike was ready at noon. I think I have it from here, unless mechanical issues arise. I just need to invest in a decent lift, its just so difficult to get down on the floor. Correction, I can plop down on the floor, getting up is the hard part. Tore these knees and hips up rodeo-ing in my younger days. The variance in price of services at different dealers is what gets me, one would think it would be a standard thing across the board.

I had my 1,000 mile service done two days ago at my local dealer. $274.23 OTD and that included synthetic oil. Was done in about an hour.

I'd really like to hear how that conversation went down. I hope you gave them an earful and got your price adjusted down to an oil change, if not free for the blatant attempt at theft.
It was an effort but I stayed cool and polite. The SM knocked 20% off, apologized, and said by golly he'd look in to this issue. Uh huh. I haven't been back since for anything. But I'd wager that window is covered nowadays.
