Although, I've always let my dealer do the first 1000. After that, they don't touch mine.
Do yourself a favor, buy the service manual and save some dime. My services, when all 3 holes get changed, is about $90 with the oil I use and about an hour of my time. Time well spent knowing it's done and done right.
This.

Harley does my 1,000 and 10,000. I do the rest.

I have a buddy with a premo motorcycle lift so it makes the services very easy. By the 2nd or 3rd time, you won't even need the manual.

Thanks for your help!
Just out of curiosity, what does the dealership, where you bought your new low rider from, charge for this service?

The dealer I bought the bike from charges 375....says it’s a 2.5 hour service.

I think I bought a motorcycle jack and the Service Manual on my RG rather than give the dealership the money for the service. been doing my own work since.

Invest in yourself!

way to much for what they 'say ' they do. mark your oil filter to make sure they really change it. better yet, buy a service manual and change your own fluids and go over the bike yourself.

It's been a little over 12 years since I had my 1000 mile service done so I couldn't remember what it cost me. I gave my dealer a call and asked him what a 1000 mile checkup on a new lowrider would cost and he said it would cost 325 if you used regular oil and 370 if you used synthetic. At the time, I was pretty ignorant about my bike and considering how much I paid for it, I felt that having them do the first check up was worth the money to me but to each their own. Hope this helps

sooo dumb question what’s 3 holes? Isn’t oil change just the filter and drain plug?

Engine, primary chaincase, & transmission. There's your three holes.
