You're about break even on your trade-in, so I wouldn't expect much if anything there. I usually post in these threads and give everyone the same advice. When you're ready to make a deal, construct a well thought out email with all of the information they need including pics of your trade in and send it to the nearest 5 dealers. Do it first thing in the morning and give them until noon to email you their best offer and let them know that they are competing with other stores. I saved 4k on my most recent purchase this way.

Don't know how much you still owe, 6K or 7K, but in your neck of the woods, the trade value of your bike is only about 7K MAX! Sounds like you'll be trading in about $0 in value for the full price of a new bike less what ever else you have managed to save? 9.75% in interest is complete BS! You'd be WAY better off paying off you FB, accelerated if you want to, and making a deal this coming winter or in the fall once again when the winter and off season blues hit the dealership. Just my !

Hey guys unfortunately didnt get the bike today. Didnt like the numbers I was given. They valued my bike as $5000 but its at $7k payoff. So ill check with the other dealers and keep hope alive otherwise I’ll stay with mine till I pay it off. They offered payoff of the bike I was trading in but the 2017 stock road glide ultra at $26999 not including taxes title and docs thats with downpayment.

I would also get numbers from at least one different dealer.

The first number they come out with is never their best deal. They're expecting you to low ball them so dont be afraid to make an offer.... you can always go up but you cant ever go back down. Don't be afraid to walk if you dont like the deal.

Yea I stuck to my guns and walked away. Out the door here in NY I would have paid $27,425.00 for a bike thats two months away from being a year old.

This is what happened. I was interested in a red 2017 RG Ultra. They offered to pick up my current bike to appraise a trade in since I wasnt able to bring it there myself cuz I was leaving work late and I work in a different county. Went to the dealer and asked them whats their offer. They said $24999 without including taxes title and license fees. They said my bike is valued at $5k (lowest value)and if I pay the $2k difference that would be the price. They said if i pay full retail which is $27699 without ttl included theyll take the trade in total. But as above stated he paid $25700 for a 2018 special at a different dealer out the door. A 2018 ultra retails at $26399 in black. So i told the salesperson this and he said oh he must have put a big downpaymenr. I said downpayment is the monthly finances not about the deal he made. He got his manager and he offered preowned (non RG Ultra) like were too poor. No.1 I work as a probation officer and my wife is a teacher in NYC. So we told them were not interested. I asked when could I expect to get my bike back. The salesman had the gaul to say I have to pay a delivery free. I told him Im not paying that since you guys offered to pickup my bike to appraise it. He said hell speak to his service manager. He didnt get back to me so I texted him an hour later and he stated wont be tonight he will call me tomorrow ro setup a schedule. So yea. $24999 plus ttl of $2425(total $27,424). If i pay off the difference in my trade im. Or $27699 plus $2850 with tradein paid in full by their end(total $30,549)
