So then you're saying if you load a Harley canned map and have all Harley parts and approved upgrades. If you have the bike DYNO tuned using the SE tuner it will void the warranty because it's no longer a Harley SEPST canned map. That is incorrect, I just spoke with Harley on that very issue. The warranty would still be intact.

Have your lawyer send them the bill for a new engine.

that isn't what he said. he said that if you used any tuner other than the se tuner, when you plug in the digital tech, it will automatically void your power train warranty. and regarding dyno tuning with the se tuner, you aren't going to be able to get a full dyno tune, with that tuner, the tech cannot take it out of epa parameters. it's limited to what you can do.

Default Tuner

I don't understand what all the bitch'n and moani'n is all about. Pure and simple. A manufacturer builds his product and expects it to be used as he designed it. We come along, decide to modify the original design concept, then bitch at the original designer for not approving and paying for additional costs brought on by ourselves. Change the design, pay the difference. Car manufacturers do not warranty modified motors, drive train etc...

Assuming it’s something we did. Kind of a big assumption.

I had detonation, and put a Powervision on it to remedy because I didn’t expect the dealer to put an SE tuner on it to fix it, assuming they even could.

If HD voided my warranty, and they would, and I had some other unrelated drivetrain failure, I would not like it, but I would accept it. That said, just because you put a tune on it to “correct” what the EPA forces upon HD isn’t going to cause other things to break, although HD could and will throw you under the bus because of it.

Blame it on the EPA. Our tax dollars at work
