For keeping your hands warm Look at the leather gauntlet mittens no wind between the fingers that away.

 

+1 Heated gloves. If you need gloves than that tells me that you should get at least the heated vest also.

 

Sorry but I think wearing leather mittens in the northeast is like wearing chaps . I'll definitely get pick on .

Agreed. I've had a pair of Fox Creek lined gauntlets for 10 years. I use an additional thin liner on occasion. I also use Gerbing heated gloves when temps are below 40.

 

I have these and they are good for cool weather (50's to 60's) or short rides a bit colder.

For actual cold weather, I have Gerbing heated gloves and heated jacket liner.
