Being 6’5” and using a “tallboy” seat, what does this do to your windshield effectiveness? Does it put you “in the wind?”

I know a guy that’s 7’5”.
He rides his Sporty and sits on the passenger seat. Looks kinda odd, but nobody gives him any crap about it.

 

Here it is, take not of the saddlemen seat, extended foot controls and especiall the apes with only a 5" pullback

Apologize for the delay, can't find receipt but they are standard 1" risers from HD catalog

 

Fatbob, I have e now had the 13 inch seat on my bike for a week or more? Any ways it is actually more comfortable to me than the 16 inch seat. Still have the same room as the 16 one too.
I'm going to try to do a hundred miles tomorrow so I'll know more then..

Were you able to find forward controls? Check around your area for a powder coater incase you have to buy chrome ones.

 

So what are you going to do with the 16” seat?

 

i am actually going to go to a local shop who said they can make me custom forward controls extension kit as well as customer cruise pegs, this way I can understand all my options especially because I don’t want the chrome and really want to black everything out. So I am going to speak with them and ask their opinion on how they think I should approach seat, bars, controls, etc. because they do a lot of custom work as well and this falls into one of their areas of focus. They also work with some shops for custom seats but I am not sure I want to do that or go with a slightly custom seat from one of the bigger seat companies like saddleman, mustang, etc.

 

thanks. Which unit would you say is the best to start with for the most added legroom. Need the legroom but also need something I can do a full day in the saddle with and a detachable backrest. Thoughts?
