Get a pair of chaps. Besides saving your nice clothes from the Harley Muffler Monster, they'll keep the splatted bugs off. When you get to work, two fast zips and you look like the rest of the herd until closing time.

"0000" Grade steel wool. Does a great job. Had a plastic grocery sack blow onto my pipes and thats all I used. Warmed the bike up for a second and took the steel wool to itwith nothing else. Came of in no time with no swirls or scratches.
