Default Confusion at Dealership

So I go to Parts department at my local dealership and found the part I needed on the shelf. At checkout he charged me $5 extra bucks so I asked him whats up? Said the part was mis marked. So I said usually salesman should still honour the price. Man this dude went off talking about taking money from his paycheck! What!!!! Finally I just said Hey either I pay The extra or not, I don't want to hear your crap! Man, I hate Dealerships.

There are people in customer service that should NOT be there. We all deal with it from time to time. The dealership is responsible since they put this person in that position. I'm sure they beat up on him and other employees to maximize profits also!

Hey it's only money right!

He charged me the web site price, But the package had a different price (around $5 bucks off) I thought it was a sale price, for all I know it was. But paying the original site price is why I didn't make a big deal about it.

No matter what, he should've charged what was marked on the Price tag.

If the part has a price listed on the sticker, that's the price I'm paying.

Yep, the price listed on the package is the price that it should be sold for. If they marked it by mistake, they need to eat the difference.

^^^ Yep, this! I've had that happen, not at the HD shop, but the price marked was always honored.

I can't believe the part's manager or the dealer would trade a pissed off customer for $5.
