I've seen the dealer mentality like this many times over. In their eyes, they're doing us a favor by allowing us to buy their parts, shirts, scooters and everything else

You are more understanding than I am. Treat me without courtesy and respect once, and you'll never see me again. I only make it to a Harley dealer once or twice a year. I wouldn't spend a nickel at one where I was treated badly.

Exactly right.

A price sticker isn't legally binding (ie, someone accidentally drops a zero on a hang tag doesn't mean you're buying a new HD for $2k), but for $5 bucks? That's just bad business, right there.

I was referring tithe OP's situation, but if paying $160 for a $16 item makes you happy, who am I to judge?
