RE: Milwaukee Iron loses Gary Woodford
What a shame that he has passed.
I have spoke with Randy this evening, he had a heart attack and went very quick while at the hospital.
They are having a Bike Builders Memorial for Gary Woodford Saturday, October 29, & Sunday, October 30, 2005. The event is to be held at Rubs Restaurant 6201 Fort Avenue, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
Its going to be pretty big a to-do, with several well known bike builders in attendance: Milwaukee Iron, Billy Lane, Paul ***, Dave Perewitz, Kendall Johnson, Grumpy’s, Russell Marlowe, Mondo, Campo, Carolina Customs, and many more!!! Will also have venders and exhibits of some sorts and beer! If it goes over well they may even have it every year.
More info is on the Milwaukee Iron web-site, just click the link above.
I'm trying to make plans to attend.
Its also strongly incouraged to visit Gary's web-site, and make a donation for the family.

That is just terrible. I read this on another site last week. I met the guys briefly at a show in Maryland, and they were the same as on TV. Just really laid back and fun. They were just sitting back having pizza and taking pics with their fans. I didn't want to bother them while they were eating, at least not for a pic.
That show is much more enjoyable than OCC's, becasue of the more laid back approach. GAry will be missed, I can't see how the show can go on. I truly enjoyed him on the show. The three of them were great together.
I'm positing the one of the pics of their bike at the show. It was recenly on TV, many months after this pic was taken. The three stars repesented their friendship and partnership in building, according the them. It was already my favorite bik, even more so now.
The pic was too large. I'll try to re-size later. @#$%@#$%@

Gary was a true craftsman who was enjoyable to watch. His attitude and kind personality kept you watching the show. These guys look real and genuine. So sorry to hear this!

I met the whole crew at a bike show in Columbus earlier this year. All are great people including Gary. They couldn't have been more friendly. None of them have the rock star attitude some of the bike builders display. I am sure Gary will be greatly missed by all.
