Default I love my Electra glide

I have an Aprilia rsv4, a Ducati Monster, a Harley fat boy and a newly acquired Electra Glide.
I freakin love the Electra Glide. It is the ultimate mile eater and a life soul elevator. I have rented the Electra several times to accommodate the wife on long trips but at 47 years old it was time for "the old mans bike" as a permanent family member. I bought an 08 with all the fixings that I like. I will be buying a VFR 1200 next but the electra is an will be the king in the inventory.

Nothing is more relaxing and soul soothing than the ultra.

Good to know that you're that happy with your bike...from one old man to another.

Electra Glides are awesome but Road Kings are the way to go. All the comfort of the Electra Glide without all the distractions and the RK is a more nimble bike in parking lots and such. Plus they just look cooler...

old man...
What does that make me, one foot in the grave (much less the guys that have 20 years me and still ride).
I loved my Ultra..... on the road.
But not in town (not a "big" guy).
I only have one bike in the stable so it went down the road.

Can't beat the big dressers on the open road

Well most of the comfort. I like the fairing and tour pack.
No use for the other doodads but you take the package or build your own.

I had an EG and yes I do miss the fairing when it gets chilly out but most of the year my big tall windshield does the job just fine. And I did put a detachable tour pack on for overnight trips.
