I love that we are upgrading and adding better technology. For those that are complaining would you be happy with a kick starter and carb? I bet not!

Kick start? I have a carb on my bobber and love the smell of gas in my garage.

If they start changing **** up, while it may not make people flock through the doors today or tomorrow, it's a better plan at creating interest for the people looking to buy a bike in a few years. That's what HD needs when you baby boomers die off.
You must have been raised without a father. Because I would have slapped your face for the way you address your elders.

In Wisconsin lots of kids grow up wanting a Harley. And they don't want a bike quieter and smoother than a Metric. We'll see if having bikes that makes the EPA happy are successful in the market.

Harley is not the only manufacturer that has to comply with EPA rules. They are however the manufacturer with largest amount amount of aftermarket options.

Kick start doesn't bother me. I'm eventually going to build a Panhead... wouldn't even think about it if kick starting bothered me

Hey tough guy, my mom and dad had their 42nd anniversary this year. Wipe your tears if what I said hurt your feelings ("old fart" is soooo demeaning lol). If our little convo happened in public, he'd be next to me laughing at you for being a baby about it.

My kick start days are in my rear view...been their done that. Nothing more I would like than to have an old knuckle head. My point is everyone is complaining about technology and I think everyone is complaining to just complain. It makes no sense that people want Harley to stay the same and think that they will survive...it seems ignorant to me.

Exactly. The majority who are complaining are the ones slowly aging out. If you don't like what HD is doing, it makes no difference.

I know what you're saying. I don't like the new bikes, but I understand it's the progression of things. I'll never buy one, but they weren't made to appeal to my demographic, it's obvious they're aimed at a younger crowd
