YouCAN beat him buyNOT lowering yourselfdown to his level. That is the way all of these kinds of people are...they just keep on and on to tick you and everyoneelse off. If you act on this...thenhe WINS. Don't give them the satisfaction. Takes a BIGGER MAN to walk away. Most of these people hide behind this kind of behavior to mask their lack of something...
education usually. You can beat them down with kindness. They can't standa kind and decent person...just be patient...Takes a little time but you will win in the long run.
Just my $2.00...the price went up...lol.

As far as the off the wall questions out of the guy, ask him what is his point, then tell him nobody cares.

there is a strong wave surging though the working work word that is starting to reconize and rid itself of people that are a pain in the ***.
Unfortunately, those are the ones that wind up getting promoted.

Like a couple of people have said, the way to beat him is not let him get to you.
I think I know exactly the type of guy you're describing. I've worked with people like that. Even if he's wrong he'll argue till he's blue that he's right and he'll never give you credit.
To really **** off people like that you just ignore them when they're spouting crap. Pretend he doesn't exist. If it pertains to him doing business with you be professional and answer his business related questions but ignore anything else he says.
And if it's really bad, just come right down to it and say, you don't appreciate his attitude and how he's treating you. Tell him you deserve the same respect as anyone else, regardless of education.

Choose your customers more wisely......

Don’t get me wrong customers are important, but if a customer is degrading your staff.....you have to stand up. Loyalty amongst the team is more important and will ultimately take you further.

IMO this is good advice, along w/the others who advised the passive route. good luck!
