Imagine you have a person who you can't avoid, and they are the rudest person you have ever met. They insult everyone within the first 6 words out of their mouth, and will interupt anyone else who is talking to say what they have to say, as they believe they are more important. They claim to be very smart, but ask the most mundaine questions, but at the same time quiz everyone on higher level stuff (PHD level bullsh1t), and claim they are idiots when they don't know the answer.

Now, you are not allowed to punch them. What would you do? How would you handle this person assuming you are in a professional environment and can't just outright deck them?
No such thing as can't deck 'em. Maybe you shouldn't .... no such thing as can't. Have your wife b!tch slap him for ya.

Get them FIRED!

there is a strong wave surging though the working work word that is starting to reconize and rid itself of people that are a pain in the ***.

It costs you busines MONEY to cater to, and employ A$$ Holes!

This is some good advice. This person is a customer of mine, and he apparently feels as though he can talk down to those in my profession as most of us have a 4 year degree or less, and this guy supposedly has a PHD. He thinks that entitles him to be a *****.

I have spent time in the Navy, Time in college, time in life. People like this guy just tick me off. They have never had the privelidge of dealing with the general public.

If I see him again, I will just let him have it as best as I can. I'm a very peaceful person and don't like to fight, verbally or (especially) physically. This guy has pushed me to the limit. I might go JR. high on him and just go off! i'm 30 and am almost ready to act 13.

A kind word and a gun will get you further than a kind word alone.

i just laugh at them. i had a customer who was like that and when he got verbally abusive i just laughed right at his face. he got even more angry and demanded to see my svc manager. when she saw how he was acting they 86'd him from our dealership. just laugh at them. its the greatest insult ever.
I agree-laugh right in their face--you will see the veins in their neck pop out!

I just want to beat his azz for the sake of other humans on the planet he has insulted. For some reason he doesn't do it to me, but he does to everyone else. I want to just take off my tie and get in his face. But that won't solve anything cuz this dude is probably almost twice my age and so set in his ways that my going postal on him will change nothing.

I like the 12 gauge shotgun idea though....

You wear a tie to work? Oh sorry, do you work at a funeral home? I love Six Feet Under.

Choose your customers more wisely......

Don’t get me wrong customers are important, but if a customer is degrading your staff.....you have to stand up. Loyalty amongst the team is more important and will ultimately take you further.
