What Leather Jacket to Buy??
#151
I've had this jacket since 2012. Purchased it shortly after my first Harley. Fit well, looks cool and got it at a decent price, as I was given an employee type discount. I think it was originally $500 back then, but picked it up for $390 I believe. I'd never spend $500 on Harley gear, or even $390. I am a fan of sport bike jackets like Alpinestars and Spidi. All black with minimal logos.

Just bought a new foxcreek classic 1. Went there, tried them on. Beautiful supple but heavy leather. Fits very well. Just as heavy and nicely detailed as perfecto but with vents! 200 cheaper. Worth it. They do state that the liner isn't warranted. I think they should build a quality liner or skip it. It's not bad but has a plastic zipper I believe. This jacket is heavier than my fxrg.

My 10 year old Harley FXRG jacket has served me well. It has extreme patina, and I had the main zipper replaced. But, I was looking for something protective that I could wear when it’s hot, and layer with a fleece shirt when it’s cooler. I recently picked up a custom designed, and measured on site, MotoPort mesh Kevlar jacket. So far I’m very happy with it…and for some weird reason it seems like the mesh captures the breeze and is actually cooler and airier than just a shirt. I’m wearing it for now with all the armor, but probably will remove the back armor. Although, I can barely tell it’s there. And in all black I don’t look like a Power Ranger.

This thread has had a good run but I’ll add my bit. I wear a Harley “Biilings” jacket when I ride because it fits and it’s age isuites me. When I go out with my wife I wear my orange white and black jacket with Harley Davidson front and back. It keeps the limp waisted tree huggers away and I end up talking to real people about stuff I am interested in. Sometimes the advertising is good!

Aero Leathers , made on Scotland and sold in the US by Thurtson ? I think.
Unbelievable quality horse hide jackets that you will pay $1200 + for
They will send a try jacket to get the fit it trust me, you buy one it’ll be the last jacket you buy and your kids will leave it in their will.
