I’ve got a highway 21 gunner coat. I’ve only had for this year but so far I’m happy with it. It has a million zipper vents. It has two zippers on the front, never thought I would like that but unzipping the bottom a bit makes more flexible. It has armor in it and I think looks pretty good as well. It is Pakistan leather( which I hear they do good work 🤷*♂️)It has a zip out liner. I have removed it and have stayed warm at 28 degrees.

I have mixed feelings on vents. They do work. But I also think they can let cold in. The liners will block this. But liners are such a PIA. I have thought about getting some light nylon thinsulate windblocker that zips up.

I know this is an old thread but I've been happy with ny Fox Creek vented race jacket. Took all my measurements and found one used after a few months of searching around. Mine had hardly been worn by the PO and did ride up a little (no double zipper) but after a month or so it started wearing in and I no longer had that problem. Fits me exactly how a riding jacket should. I've worn it in 70 degree weather with the vents open and never feel hot. With the liner in and a hoodie underneath I've put miles on in the 30's and have done short trips to the store and stuff in the 20s.
If your on a budget and are patient I recommend looking at the used market. Most ebay sellers are more than willing to ask any questions you have about measurements and alot of them will even offer a 15 or 30 day return. The warmer months are the best time to look. I was on the lookout for Fox Creek and Schotts and went with the FC because the size seamed perfect for me. I don't regret my decision. I dont think I could've got a new jacket at the same cost that would be anywhere near the quality of the FC. I paid $200 shipped to my door almost 2 years ago.

My leather is a HD FXRG, 2011 model and peretty well make. Only thing I had to repair so far is the pistol pocket which I had to restitch. It does size a bit big so in cold weather I can layer up. When it's warm without the liner and other things on it's a bit big. Warmer weather my preferred jacket is a Tourmaster with quilted and waterproof liners.

I've bought stuff from Fox Creek, and if it didn't fit I returned it no problem. In fact I returned some stuff that fit fine, I just didn't like it.

Same with WesCo Boots.

So this is a non-issue. The days of vendors not accepting returns is long over....Amazon, Wal Mart and others ended that BS

I don't think most people have a local shop near them. Maybe 100 years ago. Even then you probably ordered from Sear Roebuck.

i don’t know, there seem to be leather shops all over. My town of 10k has 2-3

If your near any city or town of more than a few thousand, I would think you could find one

Also, Fox Creek is who I used, great products and CS

I have gone to cobbler for leather repair. But I wouldn't ask them to sew me up a jacket.
