There are alot of people buying FLH framed bikes and bar hopping them, I dont get it. Its a social status thing to have the big touring bike, but never go further than 30 miles a ride on Saturday.

Too heavy. Now, if they could add some performance to the “Street 500/750 mill” that might be something to invest in...

Gotta wonder if there has been an uptick in Dyna demand since HD killed the line...

I've noticed this too.

I also think the newer Touring Bikes actually look a lot better then the old ones. I feel the opposite regarding the '18s.

I was actually shocked at how heavy the Street bikes are.
Suzuki DRZ weights 291-320lbs to the Street's 480-516lbs.

DRZ is 32-39hp, Street 500 is 33hp and 750 is 53hp.

DRZ is $6,500, Street 500 is $6,800 and $7,600 for the 750.

There are just soo many better looking, better performing bikes in the Street segment.

Yeah, I will admit the Street Glide is nice, but everyone I run into has to have

the "big Harley" Its like a sheep herd mentality. I think that people believe that

the bikes are an investment, when in fact the market is flooded. Part of what

may have killed Dyna and Softail was that there are alot of buyers going to

the

big frame bikes because that is a "Harley" to them.

Here's my last sports bike. Went pretty good, put 8500 miles on it.

I love my sport bike. I have more fun riding it than my Harley. Not that I don't have fun on my Harley, I do. But my Harley can't do what my Kawasaki can. I wouldn't ride it 400 -500 miles a day (I did 900 miles in two days once) but it's good for a 200 mile day without getting beat up....and my nuts are always fine. lol

Don't you miss your sport bike?
