Had they not been total junk....It might have worked.
Ever see what a pristine example of one is going for today?

Does the discontine of the Dya mean Dyna values will go up? I know I'm not parting with my Super Glide bein as how I cant get a new one. I always liked thet 35 anniversary model that came out in 06...

I agree, it is more of an "antique" thing than a "good bike " thing, I am thinking someone who pays three grand for one isnt riding it much anyway. I also beleive parts arent available to get a non running one running again.

I seriously doubt it....There are literally millions of them out there and while a lot of guys really like them (myself included) they're not going to see a spike in value over being discontinued.
Certain models, like the FXDXT are worth a lot to certain types of buyers, but that is because they were a fairly limited production bike and they are getting harder to find.

Not all of them. My 13 year old son likes motorcycles more than video games.
He likes HD because I do. But he would rather ride a crotch rocket, than my Heritage, b/c he's 13.

Dont know why they discontinued Dyna, but if they want they can bring them back whenever they want. On another note, the "New Hybrid " Dyna/softail bikes look pretty cool. I think the issue is the price, but everything costs more these days. I am guessing Im glad I bought mine when I did within the last 12 years. It was easy to get into the 10 grand range with Sportster back in 05, but that bought a 1200 custom back then.

They discontinued the twin-shock Dyna because it's an outmoded design.

They can't just "bring them back" whenever they want; that's not how motor vehicle manufacturing works.

I was going to type something, but it slipped my mind, something to the tune of, "If they put a man on the moon..." aw **** I forgot...

I don't think Harley discontinues a model or a product line because it is outmoded or obsolete. At least they haven't done so up to now. They tend to discontinue them when they aren't selling. The Dynas and the old Softails were not selling in the numbers that Harley was looking for.
